Brand new D8B for sale...

Postby niven » Thu Feb 24, 2011 2:43 pm

Hi,
I'm new here and I've been on the official site several years ago asking for advice re my d8b. I still haven't had the time to get round to using it! I know it's insane, but for the second time (I advertised it recently on ebay) I feel that I must put it up for sale, I just don't see me getting my head around using it, even though it's supposed to be easy to operate. I teach and I never seem to have the time to set things up. So...I have a BRAND NEW d8b v.3 (for starters I don't know how to update...what's required etc, to v5) with all the effects (these were installed and activated by Raper&Wayman) that came with the "Effects Plugin Bonanza" package from years ago. I have got an MFX and UFX cards...the Apogee card and adat x2 connections added to the original board. The mixer was bought by my school....the AS level course never started and the school sold it to me! It's been covered up under my bed since then! IT HAS NEVER BEEN USED...just demoed by a techie from Raper&Waymen then turned off!..Yes it's insane, I love the idea of using it but I think I stand more of a chance of getting things up and running "out of the box" as they say. Anyway,, if anyones interested, I'm in London (Wimbledon) and my number is 02089461523 (my wife's ballet school!) or 07403841019 please leave a message and contact number. You cannot get a better pristine example. Niven.

While it may "just like, or as good as new" it is not brand new since it has been purchased twice. v5.1 can be downloaded from Mackie's site. It will only run in demo mode (about 7 minutes) until you purchase it for $175.00.

How much are you asking?
Do you have the original boxes?
Would you send the board to Spain?

Hi Petersueco,
I believe you were one of the people who helped me with a few questions a few years ago re how to set the Mackie up! However, I just haven't managed it! I'd love to sell it to you but I'm afraid I don't see me posting it to Marbella..If I don't find a purchaser in or near London I suppose I'll end up using it just for my hardware synths...it seems a bit of a shame to use it solely for them, but I retire soon and I really must sort my system out and start producing some work before I "cop it"!
regards TODoc.
