My D8B not like the others!??

Hi,

So I’ve seen a lot of YouTube videos of the D8B, and I’ve noticed that when seeing users are using the panning on their desk, their are multiple red indicator lights when they are panning hard left or right, but this doesn’t happen on my D8B, (a side note is that I got my desk when mackieOS v3 installed, but I’ve just changed my hard drive today that has v5.1 installed.)
I was hoping that this feature was part of the OS update but it seems it’s not.

What I’m I missing, was there some firmware update for I hardware that was released that never got installed on my D8B? I’m not even sure if firmware was ever released for D8B by mackie but I’m hoping somebody could shed some light on this issue, because so far my only conclusion is that I must have a mini hardware problem somewhere within my desk, obviously I could be wrong.

When it is in panning mode, it is a single indicator LED, no matter which OS you are running. Maybe you are seeing something with the digital trim being adjusted? Post one of the youtube videos you are talking about.

I assume you're hitting the PAN button first as Crash stated and you can hear the sound being panned?

That is with the Probox setup. That is a different beast all together. There is a Probox section of the forum, you may want to check it if you are interested in turning your console into a controller.

Oh I see, i have a berand new probox, but only just seting it up as we speack, so I hope your right.
