Clocks?

Postby magicbuss » Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:25 pm

Hi
Just broke out my d8b again and am wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to try a Black Lion clock w/d8b set up.
If so is it a whole lot better than the Apogee card?
Thanks,
Lloyd

Dunno but I doubt it. The blurb on the microclock Mk II is decidedly vague and somewhat creative.

After you have the Apogee Clock Card, the main reason for an external clock is to run everything digital in your studio from the same word clock source, not necessarily to improve the sound.

In the scheme of things, there isn't one... just chaos.

I tend to agree. You hear so much about clocks and the supposed improvements. Had to ask!
I use an Aardvark during larger setups and use the Apogee internal during simple setups. Seems the same.
Thanks,

Clocks making huge sound improvements  ...Exagerated somewhat!

I did'nt noticed any difference when I added mine!....but I could have persuaded myself that I did :D
