It works well with the 8 channels we have right now, soon, we'll have the 24... For now, Frank has to clean up the code a bit, we'll let you know...

Will you be able to scroll away further the first 24 channels?

Marc and Frank, well done !!! This is very impressive. Keep it up !!!

Yeah, it would be cool if the bank buttons kept their function.

Hey guys!

Don't worry, the bank buttons will keep their original functions. One thing will be different, you won't have "only" 48 channels, you'll be able to "bank swap" way more if your session is "wider" than 48 channels. The goal will be to implement the following: Channel Left/Right (scroll one channel at the time), Bank Left/Right (scroll a full 24 channels at the time) and Jog Wheel channel scrolling (same as Channel Left/Right really). Frank already showed me a quick test, man, it looks fabulous guys!

Just can't wait to show you the next video, you guys will love it! :D

This is totally amazing! Well done guys! I use Protools on an XP box with HUI and have dreamt of the day I can use all 24 faders of the D8B (with metering! Wooohoo!) Have been looking at buying a C24 but this may just give my D8B quite a few more years of life in the studio. I'm sooooo excited about this! More than happy to contribute to the Marc Girard D8B Resurrection Fund (MGD8BRF)!

Damo

P.S. I've been thinking of building a digital scribble strip that's tied to the bank tracks being displayed - perhaps like a thin strip of 24 x 6char lcd displays that lays over the length of the current D8B scribble strip. Still need a lot more research on this one.

 Wow, very nice work and progress guys...this is exciting!!!! Full board functionality possibilities have me drooling for this now.... Will Sonar X1 see this as 3 MCU's as well??? Will there be a DAW compatibility list? Also, I may have missed this, but how configurable will the individual MCU's be, or is there a predetermined config based on the Mackie protocol for that device? Will the said MCU's be configurable within the DAW's mapping functions? Just trying to wrap my brain around how or if the 3MCU's will be configurable, or preset to a standard template config for the d8b itself?

You guys are making excellent progress. Thank you for your efforts...we are all awaiting the final product with great anticipation! :)
