OPT 8 Transfer Question

Hey there!
I'm trying to transfer files from the MDR to an interface that has ADAT optical inputs on it. I'm currently only using channels 1-16 on my MDR, so I could take out the 3rd analog card (channels 17-24) and install an OPT 8. Can I send tracks 1-8 and 9-16 to the OPT 8 that's in slot 3 (which would normally be channels 17-24) ?

Also, does anyone have an OPT 24 PCI card?

not at the same time of course, but in banks of 8 tracks per time yes, easy just connect any outs to any ins,
and yes i use an opt 24 card in a HDR, I can the switch between the also analog cards installed if wanted.
really handy card, if you can find one ! im not sure which is the more rare, the opt 24 or the remote 48, iv been looking for a remote 48 for yonks, just hardly see them. in fact al put a wanted ad in the forsale section, just incase
