I am confused on what you are checking out. You say bank 2 which says to me tape returns. When you say digital, I think the digital 1 and 2 inputs in the master section.... If you are talking about pegging meters on the tape return side, it makes me think you have a clocking issue.

cheers, yeah basically the adat 1 to 8 come through the 2nd tape in bank. but the first 2 channels seemed duffed, tried messing around with the digital io set up page to no avail.

Can you route signal to any of the other channels successfully? The way I understand you now is that you have a digital signal coming in to channels 25 and 26 with pegged meters but no audio at the master bus. My bet is still a clocking problem.

Nothing would work at all, other than the 2 track ins, if you didn't have a functioning clock card.

In the scheme of things, there isn't one... just chaos.

Sweck, why don't you give us the run down of what is connected to this thing. It may help us figure out what the issue is...

What Peter said is true, if you didn't have a clock card of any sort, nothing would work except the 2 track inputs, in the master section of the console. You can look at the back of the console and see a slot that says "Sync" underneath a removeable metal plate. If you take that plate off, the clock card will be staring back at you.

Would swapping the digital I/O cards be an idea to check?

What happens if you rotate/shift DIO cards? Does the problem move with the card or it remains on channels 1 & 2?
