Eratic noise again

Well here we go again. After the problem went away, and recording several sessions with problems, today it is back. Fired it up to start the session, and immediately noticed the problem again. It does sound a little like phasing, but it is more of a crackling sound with higher volumes. Only happens when I arm the channel to record. Has nobody ever experienced this problem before? I havn't changed anything from when it working to when it was not. Is there a battery in the board? Could it be going bad? Any body have any ideas at all?> I am really lost on this one. Any suggestions, any at all would be greatly appreciated. thanks Brian

There is a battery in the CPU, but I doubt this your issue... Can you post a sample of what you are hearing? Have you tried a reboot? What are you recording too? HDR, MDR, SDR, other?
