Postby D8BOSHELP » Thu Oct 27, 2011 4:19 am

It's currently listed on e-bay. Console and Cpu/ power supply. Operation system needs to be re-installed. Check it out for full details. On ebay it's listed under Mackie d8b sold by: drprotoolz

I am most to pleased to see several MAckie D8B's on Ebay in excess of $1500-2000. Makes me almost giddy I snagged mine for $500 in almost flawless condition. :) No worries though, I'm sure someone on here or Ebay will want to snag it ;)

I'm not sure how old or long ago you purchased the d8b but if you follow the market place it's a very popular item these days. My starting price is $699. which includes Free shipping in the U.S. for the console.
Mine is in almost flawless condition as well. : ) Cpu sold separately. $275.
Comes with :

Apogee word clock card

AES/EBU SPDIF card

MFX card

UFX card

3 Light pipe cards

I am not selling mine but will have a CPU listing shortly... I don't need it. Bought it as a back up and use it in place of the original one and now I am back to the original 166 MHz. You don't want to know (or maybe you do) want to know what I paid for mine but I won't tell :P AND it wasn't 5 c-notes or 2 grand.

But I had a lot of years and it works really great - thanks to the info provided you can really make these beasts work well for a many situations. Still working very well.

I am now running v5.1 with just 64 MB of RAM as an experiment to see how well it does. I have the max... 256MB (double sided one stick).

FYI: on the Mackie site it states that 64 is all you need. I am just going to see how it does. I suspect that it will run. This RAM is pretty cheap so there is no reason not to run the max. I am curious is all.

Felix :?

What might you be asking for the CPU? I'm assuming this is just the Rack peice? I'm looking for a spare myself, maybe I can save you the listing...
