MIDI question

Postby KyRange » Wed Jan 11, 2012 3:57 pm

Hi Y'all,

Though I've had my d8b for several years, and have used it successfully, I have never taken time to learn the ins and outs of midi (no pun). Can someone please tell what midi channel the d8b uses for sending messages to an hd recorder, etc.? I have a little multi-function midi-actuated relay that I would like to connect to the d8b to control various outboard functions via the transport buttons on the d8b. So, I guess that it would also be useful to know the respective midi messages sent from each key. Any and all replys would greatly appreciated.

Thanks, John

You might want to use a MIDI monitoring software like MIDI-OX, for example. Then you'll see realtime what messages are sent down the MIDI cable (if MIDI is connected to your PC, of course).
