Did you reserve the order of the ports in D8Bridge? If I follow your setup, your D8Bridge config must be something like:

6, 5
8, 7
10, 9

I hope this helps, good luck!

Sup RED? :)

Say, have you tried a different Serial to USB cable? seems like there are a number of reviews out there where people have issues with wierdness with some brands and drivers. I would look at that before the B8bridge cable.

and by chance are you using a USB mouse?

Just another thought.

i have comport on my computer now so that schoul be okay??

this is all verry frusterating for me

i have bought a 2nd hand d8b in perfect working condition instead of new midi controller device for the same amount because i saw the d8bridge software perform on youtube and i was impressed

but some how it does not work for me

look on youtube and do a search for stage5entertainment you wil see all of my problems

the best results i get when i turn on my pc run the d8bride software turn on the d8b reset it and then start up cubase 4
do not know if it was tested with cubase 4 but some how it keeps sending midi signals in the cubase i can start stop rewind and it all work but some how this midi signal keeps fucking every thing up i can also see the midi coming in om my software from my yamaha kx8 you can all see this in my channel on youtube

Red Carpet question for you. Have you disconnected your keyboard and connected the D8Bridge exactly how the instructions have it. It would be interesting to see if that works.

Disconnected my keyboard???????????????????????? no i have not tried that but i will trie it when i have the time

well there isn't much to it to connect it first i had a usb to serial port

i thought that was the problem so i got a serial port for the back of my old computer cos it had the connecter on the motherboard and that worked just as wel as the usb to com (same results)

i woul like to know if anybody is using the d8bridge software with cubase 4 full version cos maybe that is the problem i do not know

i am currently trying a H ackintosh computer i shure would like to know if the d8brige sofware would work on that one but i'll have to wait some more
for that

when i have tried to unplug my keyboard i will keep you posted

Hi Red Carpet,

I am sorry you are having all these problems getting your Mackie and D8Bridge to work.

You are not alone; I have for the last couple of days tried to configure my Mackie and D8Bridge with no luck either.

I am running Win 7 Pro 64 bit and using Loopmidi 64 bit for my virtual midi ports set up just like the PDF explains, with

no luck of working.

The closet I have the Mackie and D8Bridge to work is some of the functions on the first MCU and the Transport controls.

No MCU 2 or MCU 3 they will not initialize; I thought I may have miss something in configuring my setup, so I tried

different config setups with no luck.

I know how frustrating this can be with no documentation for trouble problems; I feel I am a Beta tester and I did not

payed to be a Beta Tester.

I did the same as you watch the You Tube videos and was very impressed of what my Old Mackie D8B could do.

With a couple weeks of thinking this would be cool to run my D8B as 3 MCUs so I bought the software and cable.

Maybe we can work together to try to get our systems up and running, as it might help others as well, we could call

are self's the new BETA TESTERS. HA! HA!, anyway I will keep you posted if I hear or make any lead way of getting

my system to work.

:? Frustrated
