OT: No Post Since Friday

Postby hyaena » Tue Mar 06, 2012 12:45 am

Hi all,

it´s a bit haunting, there has been no post since Friday.
Is this a dying forum ?

Come out from behind the bushes.

Everyone must be happy with their d8bs. :-)

I'm into programming a multisample editor for the Korg T-series workstations since some days. Something I wanted to do for the last 2 years or so, but never had the time (not that I have it now). It was some 30 years ago I touched any SW development tools for the last time, so quite a learning curve from 6500 assembly to Visual Studio 2008... :D

But I'm still alive and kicking, just like the forum!

Korg X series rocks!!! old and good... kinda like the d8b! 8-)

I am young and good! I am continually shocked when I look in the mirror and see that "old" guy looking back at me!

No posts means more music!!! :D

X series is great, but the T-series predates, essentially an M1 with twice the PCM ROM plus some new effects algorithms, two MIDI outs, larger sequencer and floppy disk. Oh, and all three of the choices of 61, 76 and 88 keyboards - something I've always missed for the M1. Plus the option of adding 1 MB PCM RAM, which was not used much due to the lack of an editor or even a straightforward way of loading samples. I'm tring to cure that now with my app, albeit a little too late, maybe... :) Still, a nice challenge and would give the opportunity to all, having a T1 or an EX model of the T2 or T3, to open up a formerly probably never used side of this otherwise really nice synth.

Yeah, less posting is more music - or more program, in my case! :D
