Changing an Input trim pot

Postby funk » Fri Mar 01, 2013 3:26 pm

AHH maintenance time,,,, i have been putting this off for 7 years,
1) Has anyone changed an Input trim pot ? and are these just a generic readily available one?
i have had one on chan 4 needing replacing since i have had it.
the chan 4 meter is just jumping up and down when i hold the pot to one side its fine.
Its just anoying i cant use that chan.

2) one of my select buttons chan 15 and the one above the HI/MId pot, below the LCD does not work so both needs a new micro switch, are these just normal micro switches ?

Any help befor i attack it would be great

Somewhere there is a build of materials that would give you that info. I am looking for it but can't find it as of yet. I am sure someone else will be along shortly to steer you in the right direction. Sounds like a broken solder joint to me, you may be able to tack that down with replacing the pot but you won't know until you get in there.

The BOM is included in the schematics post in the database and the service manual post that follows that in the database.
