I can't access to my registrations (d8b 5.1 Authorizations)

Hi guys,

I’ve just replaced my d8b HD, and I had to reinstalled my d8b software. After a very hard process, I’ve succeeded to install the software, but to my surprise, now it asks for an autorization number .

I purchased my mixer at ebay, it is a second hand item, so I’m not sure how to access my authorizations numbers. I think I’ve this product registered, but I’m also having troubles to access http://my.mackie.com . I’m trying to retrieve mi password, but the form doesn’t work.

Do you know where this autorizations are stored? I think perhaps I could mount my old HD in another PC and try to find this code numbers...

You'll have to call or email Mackie with your Electronic Serial Number (ESN), found at the bottom of the authorisation window and they'll provide you with the codes tied to your machine.

Finally I've got my serial number again .

But mixer still refuses to register my software. Every time I power it up, it asks for S/N.

The serial is in xxxx-xxxx-xxxx format, should I avoid to use dashes and enter S/N with spaces instead?

If I recall correctly, the codes are in HEX meaning that if you see a 0, it's a zero not an O, just in case there was some confusion. Hyphens are normal.

I think you're right, it's HEX format. Perhaps there's something wrong in the way I'm trying to authorize. I'm doing it as follows:

- I've Installed only 5.1 (not 3.0 version in my new HD).
- As soon as system boots, I write the serial number in the 5.1 autorization dialog box.
- I click the button to authorize.
- Then I shut down my mixer.
- After 20 secs or so, I power it up again with the same result:

It still claims for serial number.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you provided Mackie with the correct ESN?

Yes, I've checked it out several times. It's very odd.

I'll try to reinstall all the soft sequencially ( 3 - SP 2 - SP 3 - 5.1 ) to check if this helps.
