Crikey, they're a bit sensitive over at Gearslutz these days. I called a guy on a bunch of BS that he wrote and they banned me from the discussion. Never happened before.

Yep, Gearslutz can be an odd place at times. I enjoy my time there but you can't make too many waves or hurt anyone's feelings or you get the boot as you well see.

Thing is Crash, this guy was filling an innocent kid's head with rubbish. That place is rife with misinformation and I don't like to see young enthusiasts confused.

Second to last post on page 2 by <bdenton> is the convoluted crap I replied to. My reply has been deleted so I guess it won't make much sense. He or she has issues anyway if you read further and tries to cover tracks.

Why would you even respond to that. I read through it and it's like paragraph after paragraph of circular reasoned techno-babble. It's like he's writing this stuff because he is mesmerized by the look of his typing on a screen. Content is secondary.

You can't argue with people like this. They are self-aggrandized religious fanatics.....pointless debating them...they are insane.

You're right Frank. I was just concerned about the young guy who had a legitimate question. Too much time on my hands, I guess. More importantly, I treated myself to Yum-Cha today, so I'm feeling much better. Cheers

that's why this forum is still the best forum around. its

The more I look around over there, the more I realize that there's only about 25% personnel that have a 25% clue. That's including the mods. I pity the poor souls who actually would like some serious advice or guidance. The visits will be seldom from now on for me.

Just as a matter of interest, I received a PM over there from someone setting up another forum because of their dissatisfaction with GS. I went there once and it seemed pretty reasonable... well... at least honest. I'll try and find the link.
