Midiman 1X1 Not working

Hello out there!

I am a new comer to the D8b and I want to control my DAWS Reaper. I know 5.1 has authorization issues so I will wait. I have ver 3.0.

However, I have my board connected to midi monitor to test out the midi and no go.

This is what I have done:

1. Made midi cables
2. Used a premade cable
3. Checked my bios
4. Checked my IRQ
5. Switched the slots in the CPU
6. Programmed my midi map

I think the board is bad.
Any suggestions before I buy a new midi interface card? If so, where is the best place to get it?

Have you checked out the Version 3 manual, chapter 4, page 107? MIDI cables going both directions? Is Reaper set to generate MTC?

I would think Ebay is your best bet on finding a replacement if it comes to that. Welcome to the forum by the way. Hopefully you can get this sorted out.

Hi,
I got my Midiman issue taken care of. It was a bad cable. I'm sending out midi out of my d8b but I am having a hard time getting Reaper to send MTC. I think I'm setting it up right but all I get is SSP and start and stop commands. That's not time code to my understanding. I looked in the Reaper manual and its the best I could come up with. Does anyone know the actual steps to take to make Reaper to generate real MTC?
