test' as it were, Peter. Spidey Sense leads me to think it actually might cause problems, unless the ADSP-2181 micro-controller handles the exception (
not 'seeing' the DS2401). But IMHO, ultimately it comes down to the OS byte code that executing (
OS v5.1 platform) and it's '
conversation' with the hardware/firmware onboard the desk. Perhaps a dialog to open discussion about open-sourcing what they could? I don't think this issue is settled yet, by any means...
