It appears to perhaps be some sort of Hashing Algorithm; as an example:
d8b Box ID : NXPD-EAVD-XWSX-GMIP-HDGN
d8b ESN-: 0000-01E6-6C1C
d8b OS v5.1 Unlock Code : 29E8-A082-DB4F
That's the info for my desk (which of course isn't working). So, at face value, logic seems to indicate the following:
d8b Box ID (some hash logic) against d8b ESN == d8b OS v5.1 Unlock Code;
So...
NXPD-EAVD-XWSX-GMIP-HDGN (#HASH) 0000-01E6-6C1C == 29E8-A082-DB4F;
The funky part (at least at this moment in time), is hashing a character string (AlphaNumeric Box ID) against a hexadecimal value (Hex ESN) to produce another hexadecimal value (Hex Unlock Code). I'd personally, as mentioned by others, benefit by eyeballing some other examples, preferably 'working'... even then, it's gonna take a bit of work, but I believe the collective here will be more than capable (with the appropriate Due Diligence applied) of working out this apparent 'Mystery' were all facing...
I personally believe it's not 'IF', but 'WHEN'...
Thoughts? Ideas? Any/all constructive input is surely welcome... the Floor is Open, Boyz n Girlz...
