Been there, done this. This is correct.

I would think so, as long as the install was a clean 5.1 install.

I've got a spreadsheet that's current, Carlo... I'm also finishing a database app for simple data gathering for this endeavor - I have to pm Peter to get a dialog going about his hosting platform etc...

So far, I have a registration form and a community page (member listing). I'm capturing (and storing in a set of tables in MySQL) the following:

First Name
Last Name
Username (from the Forum here)
Email Address (for any communications specific to the community at large)
Status (d8b v5.1 Status)
Box ID
ESN
Unlock Code
Notes (user defined - text area capture)

Nothing 'fancy'... should I password protect this for each user? If so, have edit forms for user data? Anything else that we should capture for the community effort? I'm all ears, and open to any/all constructive input & criticisms... :geek:

Hi All, Let me get this straight. Are you saying that if you switch cpus on a board in which pugins are unlocked that it does
not ask for the authorization codes upon booting up? Because if it does, then autorisation is "between" the brainboard and
the cpu because the codes are being stored in the cpu and asked for upon boot. Please enlighten me.
thanks,
and have a blessed day.

OK, I have two d8b's both running V5.1. For fun I hooked up the wrong CPU to one of the consoles so you can see what happens after boot up. This is where you end up.

and if you key in the code????

This happened to me when i changed the HD of the CPU rack. I keyed in the code and ALL was OK. I think the code is recorded in the HD and then during bootup the Brainboard makes an association of the code in the brain board itself and the one stored on HD. If they match it will proceed if it does not match the prompt screen of the authorization pops up asking for the code. If you key in the code as per your ESN i think it will work...Crash can you try?
