I want to buy a D8B to control logic 9, what do I need?

Sorry, also...

If I record audio onto a track on the HDR, could I then send that audio to a logic channel to be processed, and returned back to the desk for monitoring / mixing?

Sorry for the newbie questions!

Thanks a lot Eric.

Is there a good resource online somewhere I can digest to get my head around how all the routing works and what ends up where?

Absolutely. Look at the top of this page and click on "DATABASE".

Everything you need to know is there.

Thank you very much for all your help.

I picked up my d8b yesterday, so very excited to get it all set up. I'll report back how I get on. Thanks again.

Just a quick update to say my new toy is set-up now in my studio.

So far, I have 8 digital and 6 analogue inputs coming from logic to the desk, and I think I'm pretty confident I can get 24 mixed inputs into the desk from logic, which is great.

I've managed to pipe different tracks from logic into tracks on the desk.

I've had a play with the EQs and Compressors, etc and all seems pretty straight forward.

I also have the d8b controlling transport in logic, which I'm very happy about!

So far, awesome! :)

Next tasks for me are getting my head around using the effects, and automation.

Thanks so much for your advice and especially for yeskeys game-changing post regarding using the d8b as it was originally intended.
