Looking into d8bridge with questions...

I've been interested in getting a control 24 for years, but I'm broke and cheap...then I found this site last year and have been periodically stalking. Seemed like something right up my alley.

I was still a little unclear how this will actually work, so decided to post.

Will this allow the d8b to function on a Mac, with meters, like a control 24?
Do I need to have any particular cards installed for this to function?

I'm not interested in using the audio portion of the board, just as a control surface.

go with the probox ...my d8b also doesn't run any mackie sofware but with the probox
connect to it now my d8b work like a charm as a control surface you only need the cpu to power up
the d8b the probox connect into the 25 pins on the back of the d8b and after that it is your daw software that do the rest
go on the probox forum here and read some treads
