So you get with the ProBox a Monitor Controller "for free" as the price for the probox will stay the same.

Any idea when you might consider a HUI translation for your probox. I know you want to see what interest is out there for that protocol before tackling it. That being said, do you think its a possibiity in the somewhat near future? If not, cool. I just wanted to touch base on the subject. I have a real nice and well taken care of d8b that I am trying to decide the future of.

Thanks and congrats on the box being shipped soon.

Yes I've planned to implement the HUI. But after the release of the probox without HUI.

All owners of the probox without HUI can update their probox with the HUI function once it is available.

I cannot give you a serious date, as my focus after release will be on the Support and (if necessary bugfixing).
As I don't know how much work will the bugfixing and Support I don't know when I can start to implement the HUI.

But I want to get the HUI implemented as soon as possible. So plan will be to have it till September(October).
As I also plan to add a small Display (96x48 dots) for every channel to make the d8b with probox really similar to the C24

best regards

Hi Munk,
I have a question,

If I have 46 Channels including groups or more will the Pro box Scroll thru all 46 or more channels or only 24 Channels?

Thanks

Hi

Same as the mcu with two yrs.
You can switch in groups of 24 channels back
And forward, or you can shift per channel.

Best regards

Hi
You connect the probox via the 25pol sub-d to the console.
You need the powersupply, the CPU is not connected.

I hope in 4 weeks i can deliver the first probox.

munkustrap...

For those of us that are not as electronic savy and want the fan-less power-supply but cant build it, will you be offering that also later on down the line for sale?

Just to clarify, there's no reason why you can't use power from the d8b PSU/CPU to power the console, right?

Does the ProBox have its own power supply? ProBox doesn't rely on a power supply that is a common source of power for both itself and the control surface functions, correct? So the control surface just needs the voltages it would normally get from the stock d8b PSU/CPU?

I've modified my d8b PSU/CPU to be completely fanless (http://www.d8bforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1175) yet still provide the required voltages to the d8b control surface. Any reason why I couldn't continue to use this power source with ProBox, understanding that the d8b's DB25 data connection would now communicate with the ProBox instead of the d8b CPU?

Thanks!
